Abdominoplasty Post Weight Loss Patient 2020-1009

38 year old women who has had twin girls and a boy.

Lost weight though diet and exercise over 12-month period 2 years prior to presenting. Has now had stable weight for 12 months.

166cm tall.

Before her weight loss was around 120 kg, BMI of 44

Post weight loss around 80kg in weight, BMI of 29

Has noted significant amount of loose skin after her weight loss causing rashes and discomfort in the skin folds.

Operation performed:

  • Abdominoplasty assisted by VASER liposuction
  • Amount of fat removed with liposuction: 500 ml (0.5 kg)
  • Amount of skin removed: 1450 grams (1.5 kg)

Divarication of the Rectus muscles noted at 4cm. Repaired as part of the Abdominoplasty.
